I was working in construction in India when I decided to immigrate to Canada. During the immigration process, I came across many challenges, but I was lucky to get the right guidance, which helped me to achieve my dream.
However, along the way, I came across many people that were interested in migrating to Canada but didn’t make it. They did not know the difference between a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), and an agent, and unfortunately got duped.
They not only lost money and precious time but were unable to immigrate to Canada. I even came across individuals that get deported as they were misrepresented and provided wrong information on their files.
Experiencing all these things, I decided to get into immigration and studied to become an RCIC. After completing various courses and tests, I became fully regulated and liable to ICCRC, so I set up my immigration consultancy in 2017.
Over the past three years, I’ve realized that the immigration field is ever-changing, with lots of new programs and regulations getting introduced periodically. Right now, due to COVID-19, many new rules are causing chaos, so I need to update my knowledge daily.
I place great emphasis on ethics, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is that I always aim to give accurate information to my clients. If I’m not able to render the service or I’m not sure about something, I refer my client or tell them to give me a little time to do research.
I also attribute my success to customer service, as I’m always friendly, polite, and work with a positive attitude. Besides, I put clients’ interests above my own, so whenever I secure the desired outcome and witness happiness on their faces, I feel ecstatic and joyful.
I love my work, but when I’m not assisting clients with their files, I like to read biographies and philosophical books. On weekends, I enjoy spending quality time with my family.
